Feburary 2018 NOTE: Focus on Your Innergram has been updated and expanded. Check out a new freebie pack here and purchase the event pack in my Etsy shop!

This is the final post in my series featuring the Focus on Your Innergram theme and I will be sharing a skit and program covers with you.  All of the projects in this series offer the option to use the 2014 Mutual Theme or add your own.

In case you missed my previous posts and the explanation of this theme, you can catch up here:

To introduce the Focus on Your Innergram theme at our New Beginnings, we came up with a fun skit featuring all of the leaders. You could perform this skit with leaders or all girls, or a combination of the two. The skit takes social media and getting obsessed with our outer-selves and encourages the girls to refocus on their inner-selves (their INNERGRAMS) and Come Unto Christ.

You can download the Focus on Your Innergram Skit here.

Finally, I created an editable double-sized program cover for you. This customizable PDF comes in both Come Unto Christ and blank versions and has spaces for you to add your event name, theme (if not Come Unto Christ), organization, songs/announcements and program information.

  1. I love your art work. This is such a fun fantastic idea. We are using it for our YWIE theme this year. Thanks for making my calling easier, and so fun for the girls. Thank you for sharing your talents!

  2. your talent has blessed many including myself and my YW! We also will be using ur fab idea for our YWIE! Thank you for sharing!

  3. Neisha,
Thank you so much for sharing these adorable graphics. We are using them for Young Women in Excellence. It was so cute when we had our “preparation” activity and I asked them to give me pictures from their social networking accounts for the banner decorations. Suddenly I was speaking their language. And it was so wonderful to see how connected they were to each other. When asking the girls who were there if they could help me get pictures of the other girls who weren’t there, they all said “yeah, there’s this really cute picture of her….” It was wonderful to see how connected they were to each other and also to the YW leaders and the other adults in our ward. That is a circle of protection.
A word of warning though.. In our ward I found that there were several families that didn’t allow their girls on social networking. I don’t want those families to feel bad or left out. I’m going to mention in our talk how proud I am of those girls for being obedient to their parents and that they will be blessed.
I had an idea that I thought might help your readers though too. On the back of the program, we are going to list the YW leaders social networking accounts under the hashtag #ComeFollowMe. And we’re going to list a bunch of the apostles and church social networking accounts under the hashtag #FollowTheProphet. You can find them here: https://www.lds.org/topics/internet/accounts Gives it a whole new meaning huh? 🙂 If we can get these girls headed in the right direction online they are going to do so much good in this world. Thanks so much!

    1. Janet! Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments! I know that some families do not let their YW have social media accounts and I am so glad you are being sensitive to them. Thank you! In our home, we think that teens who are on social media should do so with their parents’ knowledge (and with parents being their followers). This allows teenagers the opportunity to learn how social media works, to interact with their peers in a safe way, and to share the Gospel, all while under parental supervision. I have children who are young adults as well as pre-teens. We gradually allowed our teens access to social media (with parental supervision all the way) as they got older and it was good to see what they were posting and with whom they were networking. I will not be allowing my daughter who will be a new beehive soon onto social media just yet, and when I do, I will be there to hold her hand, guide and supervise her the whole way.

Another resource to help those who wonder about social media and the Church is this wonderful talk by Elder Bednar: https://www.lds.org/prophets-and-apostles/unto-all-the-world/to-sweep-the-earth-as-with-a-flood?lang=eng

  4. Thank you for sharing your talents!!! You made this easy to use and I think our girls will love it!!! Thanks again,

    Tiffy 😀
