Just popping in during this busy Thanksgiving week to give you a heads-up on some great savings on the binding/punching machine I use to make my Personal Progress calendars (2013, 2012 and upcoming 2014). I am not paid or affiliated with Zutter in any way, I just LOVE my Zutter Bind-It-All and it makes creating my Personal Progress calendars a cinch! Right now, until December 1, 2013, you can get the Bind-It-All for 40% OFF! This is a huge savings–I’ve never seen it priced lower! Continue reading

I am working away on my 2014 Personal Progress calendar and have a little sneak peek to show you!
But first, I have some great news! If you want to get your hands on some of my YW fabric designs in my Spoonflower Shop, now is a great time to check it out! Right now, fat quarters are 50% off–that means buy one, get one free!
If you use the coupon code instyle13 on an order of two fat quarters, you will get one FREE and also get FREE SHIPPING! You can also order one fat quarter at 50% off ($5.40 for basic cotton)! All fat quarters are 50% off.
This coupon code is good until 11/25/13. I used this coupon code today and it worked for me, but please know that I cannot guarantee it will work in the future.
Note: A fat quarter is a piece of fabric that is 21 inches by 18 inches.
This would be a great time to order some 2013 Mutual Theme pillow fronts (color/chalkboard) to make Christmas gifts for your young women or to snag some YW Values fabric (black & white/color) to make a Personal Progress book holder for your daughter or niece. Continue reading
Looking for an idea for New Beginnings or Young Women in Excellence or even Activity Days? Here’s an idea that we used for New Beginnings this year. We created a beautiful evening centered around Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf’s talk and book (get the ebook for free right now for Kindle!) Your Happily Ever After.
I love this talk and its message is perfect to share with young women and girls. Not only would this theme work for Young Women activities, but it would make a great Activity Days Mom and Me or Recognition activity.
I am excited to share with you the printables I made for this event including a storybook invitation, program cover, logos and photo cards. You can download them at the bottom of this article. Continue reading
Here is a much-requested 2013 Mutual Theme printable for you! It is a candy bar wrapper for the 6.8-ounce Symphony and Hershey’s bars. These are the large ones that are labeled giant. It has all the same features of my other candy bar wrappers: the 2103 Mutual Theme, a scripture-filled ingredients list, Stand as a Witness 24-7 barcode and a nutrition facts box filled with Young Women’s Personal Progress Values.
Yes! My 2013 Personal Progress Calendar is done and ready for you! Woo hoo! Each calendar has an adorable cover, calendar pages for each month and monthly goal pages PLUS four extra pages: Plans for 2013, Scriptures, Year in Review and Testimony.
We’re gearing up for our ward’s Young Women in Excellence and I thought I’d share with you what we’re doing and some coordinating printables I’ve created. Our theme this year is “Whooo is ready to stand for truth and righteousness?” and we’re using owls to tie it all together. Our fabulous YW President, Shauna, got the idea from a friend and we’re giving it our own spin. This idea and my printables are easily adaptable to New Beginnings, Girls Camp and other Young Women activities as well as for Activity Days recognition events. Continue reading
I am so excited to share my latest project with you: an Arise & Shine Forth digital scrapbooking kit! If you’re a digital scrapbooker, you know just how versatile a collection of digital papers and elements is for creating custom projects. And, if you’ve never tried digital scrapbooking, this 2012 Mutual theme-inspired kit is a great way to start! Simply download and unzip the Arise & Shine Forth kit files. Once you unzip the kit downloads, you’ll see that I’ve packed this collection with lots of papers and elements (think of each of them as a piece of clip-art) which you can use to make your own invitations, flyers, handouts and scrapbook pages. They’re easy and great to do with your Young Women, Primary kids or Activity Days girls. I’ve got instructions and a download containing pattern pieces and “You’re Tie-riffic! Happy Father’s Day” tags for you to print. (Tags in download do not have my watermark on them.)
This week all of our Young Women met together to make Father’s Day gifts for their dads. We had two craft projects: an “I’m so glad you’re my pop!” boutonniere and a “You’re tie-riffic!” card. This post features the boutonnieres. I will have a follow-up post with the cards. (For a sneak peek, scroll down to the end of this post.)
The girls loved this craft and when I came home, my six- and nine-year-olds made their own, too! These would be fun for Primary kids or Activity Days girls as well as for Young Women to make for their dads .
